Care That Looks Beyond Timing and Hormones

My wife and I waited three years for our first child. I know how physically and emotionally heavy that waiting can feel.
Fertility is not only about timing. Women’s health is not only about hormones. Your cycle, pelvic health, circulation, nervous system, sleep, and physical tension all deserve attention.
At Core, we look at five connected areas:
Cycle Rhythm
How your cycle changes from one phase to the next, including timing, symptoms, and recurring patterns.
Uterine & Pelvic Environment
The symptoms, tension, and physical conditions surrounding the lower abdomen and pelvis.
Pelvic Circulation
Factors that may affect warmth, comfort, movement, and circulation through the pelvic region.
Stress & Nervous System Regulation
How stress, sleep, fatigue, and emotional strain may be affecting your cycle and recovery.
Pelvic Alignment & Movement
How the pelvis, hips, lower back, breathing, and posture work together—and where unnecessary tension may be building.
These areas do not function separately. They influence how your body prepares, regulates, responds, and recovers throughout each stage of life.
Your care is then built around your body, your cycle, and your current goals.

What We Support
1. Fertility Support
Personalized care for natural pregnancy preparation and throughout IVF or IUI.
Treatment may focus on cycle rhythm, pelvic circulation, stress, sleep, muscle tension, and recovery during the fertility process.
Care is coordinated around your cycle and fertility-clinic schedule whenever possible.
2. Cycle & PMS Care
Care for painful or irregular periods, PMS-related tension, pelvic heaviness, fatigue, low-back or hip discomfort, and symptoms that repeatedly return around your cycle.
The goal is not simply to manage each period as it comes, but to understand the pattern behind your recurring symptoms.
3. Perimenopause & Pelvic Health
Support for pelvic tension, sleep disruption, temperature sensitivity, mood changes, increased stress reactivity, fatigue, and the physical changes that may occur during perimenopause.
Treatment is designed to calm the nervous system, reduce physical tension, improve comfort, and help you move through this transition with greater stability.
Frequently Asked Questions
1. What concerns are a good fit here?
Core may be a good fit if you're dealing with irregular cycles, menstrual pain, PMS, pelvic tension, sleep disruption, perimenopause-related changes, or if you're preparing for pregnancy or going through IVF or IUI. You don't need a single diagnosis — many patients come in because several things are happening at once. If symptoms are severe, sudden, or new for you, medical evaluation should come first.
2. What happens at the first visit?
We start with a detailed review of your cycle, symptoms, sleep, stress, and health history. Depending on what comes up, we may also look at pelvic tension, hip mobility, posture, and breathing patterns. From there, we put together an individualized treatment plan based on your current needs.
3. What kind of treatment do you use?
It depends on your symptoms and pattern. Care may include acupuncture, manual therapy, acupressure, heat therapy, breathing guidance, and gentle pelvic exercises. The focus is on improving pelvic comfort and circulation, reducing muscle tension, and helping the body recover more effectively between cycles.
4. Can I receive treatment alongside IVF or IUI?
Yes — we work alongside your fertility clinic, not instead of it. Your clinic manages the medical side; at Core, we focus on stress, sleep, pelvic tension, and physical comfort throughout the process. If you have a treatment schedule, bring it with you so we can plan around it.
5. Why do you assess the pelvis, hips, and posture?
The pelvis doesn't function in isolation. Hip tightness, abdominal tension, breathing patterns, and prolonged sitting can all affect how the lower abdomen feels — especially during menstruation or fertility treatment. When these factors seem connected to your symptoms, we include them in the assessment and treatment plan.
6. Can this help during perimenopause?
Yes. Beyond cycle changes, perimenopause often brings disrupted sleep, hot flashes, mood shifts, fatigue, and muscle tension. Care may focus on calming the nervous system, improving sleep, and reducing physical tension through the transition. It can be used alongside medical evaluation or hormone therapy when appropriate.
7. How often should I come?
For fertility support, many patients begin with weekly care for around 5 to 10 weeks, adjusted according to cycle stage and IVF or IUI schedule. For menstrual or perimenopause-related concerns, weekly sessions for several weeks is a common starting point. Your plan can always be adjusted as your needs change.
8. When should I see a doctor or fertility specialist first?
Consider a fertility evaluation if you're under 35 and have been trying for 12 months, 35 or older and trying for 6 months, or if you have irregular cycles, PCOS, endometriosis, or recurrent miscarriage. Seek prompt medical care for sudden pelvic pain, unusually heavy bleeding, or fever with pelvic pain. Core care works alongside medical treatment — it doesn't replace it.
