Are you only getting treatment where it hurts?

The source of pain and the place you feel it are not always the same. At Core, we assess posture, movement, and joint function to understand what may be contributing to your pain.

People often come in for

[ Neck pain ] [ Back pain ][ Headaches ] [ TMJ / jaw tension ][ Shoulder pain ] [ Sports-related pain ]

Assessment First. Treatment Second.

We first assess your posture, movement, joint function, and pain pattern. Then we combine acupuncture, cupping, hands-on therapy, and rehabilitation exercises based on what we find.

We prioritize assessment over any single treatment technique.

FAQ

1. Why does my pain keep coming back?

Pain may return when the pattern contributing to it has not changed. We look beyond the sore spot to assess movement, joint function, and muscle guarding.

2. Is the painful area always the source?

Not always.Shoulder pain, for example, may be influenced by the neck, ribs, shoulder blade, or the way you move.

We assess the painful area and the surrounding pattern together.

3. What do you assess?

We may assess:

  • Posture and alignment

  • Joint movement

  • Muscle guarding

  • Movement compensation

  • Related areas such as the hips, pelvis, or breathing pattern

The assessment is adapted to your symptoms.

4. What treatment will I receive?

Treatment depends on what we find.

Care may combine acupuncture, cupping, heat therapy, hands-on techniques, and personalized rehabilitation exercises.

You do not need to choose a technique beforehand. We assess first, then build the treatment around you.

5. What if I am nervous about acupuncture?

Please let us know.

Needles do not have to be the starting point. We can begin with gentle hands-on care, heat therapy, cupping, or movement guidance and adjust the treatment to your comfort level.

6. How many sessions will I need?

It depends on how long the problem has been present, how often it returns, and how your body responds.

Recent or uncomplicated concerns may need a shorter plan. Long-standing or recurring patterns may take longer.

After your first assessment, we can recommend a clearer starting plan.
